SWISS CONFEDERATION
650TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS IN N.Z. (Press Assn.) Wellington, Aug. 1. In commemoration of the 650th. anniversary of the foundation of the Swiss Confederation, the Consul of Switzerland, Dr. Walter Schmid, and Mrs. Schmid, held a reception to-day, attended by members of the Cabinet. Consular representatives, other officials, and their wives. The Swiss group in Wellington and other parts of the Dominion hold celebrations to-morrow evening.
