I A state of seige has been declared las the result of a discovery of the I pro-Nazi element’s subversive activiI ties, which, according to an official I spokesman, have been carried on under the direction of the .German Legation. ; The secretary of the Presidency . said the decree was in keeping with ■the Government’s duty to maintain I public order, and “develop an enerigetic attitude in the face of a demaIgogy trying to undermine public I order.”
I The Ministry of the Interior announced that the country is tranquil. ‘AU the measures taken are precau- . tionary. In United States Government circles the conjecture that Nazi agents were seeking to foment a I revolution in Bolivia with a view to interrupting tin shipments to Britain and the United States.
