To-day the Count will be the , guest of the Wanganui Rotary Club | at its weekly luncheon and thisi afternoon he will be entertained by the president of the Wanganui Ministers’ Association, the Rev. A. C. McLean. The Countess will be the guest of the National Council of Women. Yesterday’s activities included a’ parade of the transport section of the Home Guard and the Women's War! Service Auxiliary. They were inspected by Count W’odzicki at the : Gonville Domain. 50 vehicles and the! necessary personnel parading under: Mr. C. Linwood. The instructor was Mr. C. N. Hood.

Training in practical transport convoy work was carried out in subsections. also a ceremonial formation drive. The parade “marched past’’ in close column of sub-seetjons. Transport personnel later assembled in two ranks for individual instruction. ' Count Wodzicki said he was much impressed with what he had seen and was interested in how the organisation was controlled by the whistle of the commanding officer. It was the firs* time h n had seen a unit of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary in New Zealand. The smart and efficient manner in which they carried out their work was a matter of great interest to him. He said that one of the tragedies of Poland was that transport had not developed.
