MAJESTIC THEATRE

"NIGHT TRAIN TO MUNICH.” Timely, topical and up-to-the-minute, “Night Train to Munich,” now screening at the Majestic Theatre, shows with vivid drama the workings of the evil forces against which every civilised nation has set its face. It is not a propaganda picture. It is a thrillpacked romantic drama, punctuated with refreshing humour, “Night Train to Munich" co-stars Margaret Lockwood, with Rex Harrison. Heading the supporting cast is Paul von Hernried, “He Stayed For Breakfast." Melvyn Douglas and Loretta Young appear as a new starring team in "He stayed for Breakfast,” the Columbia comedy which opens its Wanganui season at the Majestic Theatre tomorrow. Some of the scenes are so funny they threaten to obliterate subsequent dialogue by the hearty laughter. French in atmosphere, it is delightfully put over by its talented leads, well tucked by Una O’Connor, who specialises all her Scenes. Eugene Palette is immensely amusing as Loretta’s husband, and Alan Marshal, in the part of one of Loretta's "young men," gives a clever portrait in light, airy style different from anything he has yet done.
