THREE GERMANS ESCAPE
CAMP GUARDS ATTACKED Received Feb. 8, 12.15 -,.m. MELBOURNE, Feb.. 7. Three young German internees, springing upon a guard and roping them, escaped while working outside a camp to-day. They had been driven in a military truck to the scene of their labours. After overpowering the guard they took the key of the truck and threw it away to prevent pursuit. The escapees are now being hunted in dense bush. Their descriptions were broadcast. Many police are on the search. The men speak English fairly well with a German accent.
