ARRIVAL IN U.S.A.
NEW JAPANESE AMBASSADOR Received Feb. 7, 5.5 p.m. SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6. Admiral K. Nomura, newly-ap-pointed Japanese Ambassador to Hie United States, has arrived. He expressed confidence that JapaneseAmerican problems could be settled amicably and satisfactorily by diplomacy. Admiral Nomura's liner was escorted in by two United States destroyers, while land batteries fired a 15-gun salute.
