U.S. MINISTER’S MOVE A REWARD FOR SERVICES WELL DONE WASHINGTON, Feb. 6. The United States President’s Secretary, Mr. S. Early, in a statement to the Press said that Mr. N. Johnson’s move from China to Australia as Minister was “a technical demotion but is actually a reward.” Pointing out that Mr. Johnson had spent many years of living in difficult conditions in China and facing a series of crises. Mr. Early said that Mr. Franklin Roosevelt wanted to reward him by a transfer to a quiet, peaceful life and have his family with him.
