MARTON PATRIOTIC AREA
THE SUGGESTED BOUNDARIES FORWARDED FOR APPROV AL. (Own Correspondent). MARTON, Feb. 7. Following are the suggested boundaries of the Zone M, of the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Area, with headquarters at Marton. The suggestions have been forwarded to Zone E Feilding, for approval. Commencing at a point where the Main Trunk railway touches the western boundary of the Rangitikei River till it croses the Main North Highway near Greatford station; thence across the highway and along the western boundary thereof to Curl’s Bridge; thence in a north-west direction, along the south-west boundary of Curl’s Bridge Road and across Read’s Line: thence along Read’s Line and McHardie’s Road to the north-western Trunk Road, along .the north-eastern side of such road till It meets Pukepapa Road; thence across the northwestern Trunk Road in a southerly direction to Lake Alice Road; thence In a straight line in a westerly direction to the coast and along the coast to the Wangaehu River, along the southern boundary of the river to Mr. Chas. Baldwin’s property; thence, in a straight line in an easterly direction, to the Turakina Valley Road and on to Makahou Road; thence along the north-western side of the Turakina Valley Road to the junction with Taurimu Valley Road; thence to Galpin’s Road; then, in a straight line, to the most northerly point of Porewa Riding, and thence to Jefferson's Line, diverting to take in the residents of Mount Curl to the top boundary of Mr. F. J. Soler's property; along the northern side of Jefferson’s Line and Porewa Road to Ngei Road, and taking in the Murimotu Line, to Leedstown and along the north-western boundary of Mr. A. H. Marshall’s homestead property; thence in a straight line across the Main Trunk Line to the Rangitikei River, taking in the property of the late Mr. J. W. Marshall, and thence along the western boundary of the Rangitikei River to the point of commencement.
