“God the Preserver of Man" was the subject of the lesson-sermon ,n all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, December 15. The golden text was Prov. 2:6, 8, “The Lord giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. . . He keepeth the paths of judgment and preserveth the way ol His saints."
Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: “And He called his twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And He
sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1, 2.; Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Man is harmonious when governed by soul. Hence the importance .and understanding the truth of being, which reveals the laws of spiritual existence. God never ordained a material law to annul the spiritual law. If there were such a material law it would oppose the supremacy of spirit, God and impugn the wisdom of the creator.” (p. 273
