LAUNCHING AT NORFOLK FIRST OF EIGHT BEING BUILT Received Dec. 15, 10 p.m. NORFOLK (Virginia), Dec. 14. The Hornet, the first ot eight new aircraft carriers under construction, was launched at Newport News. She carries 83 planes.
