MARTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL

FANCY DRESS BALL i The Marton District High School held their annual fancy dress ball in the Civic Theatre on Wednesday evening, and the scene presented was an animated and pleasing one. The fancy dresses of the children were colourful and varied, and made a striking appearance in the senior grand march and the infants’. The dance programme for the senior scholars consisted of the oldtime waltz, valetta, schotische, barn dance, polka and threesome reel, while the infants took part in many i folk dances, and the precision in the execution of the dances was evidence of the untiring training on the part of the teachers and pupils.
