RAIL JIGGER DRIVER KILLED

[ Per Press Association. ] TAUMARUNUI, Aug. 13. When a special train from Taumarunui to Ohakune was travelling late yesterday through a cutting near Owhango it met two jiggers on the line. The driver of the first jigger, Thomas George Sullivan, had his foot entangled as he tried to jump clear before the impact. He was seriously injured and died in hospital. He was married, aged 25.
