RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL. PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN. MOTICE is hereby given that the Rangitikei County Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the sth day of September, 1940, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government. Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £lO,OOO for the purpose of advancing money to Farmers under the Rural Housing Act, 1939. The security for such loan shall be a special rate of one forty-fifth of a penny <l/45d> in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the County of Rangitikei. It is not proposed to collect the special rate but to meet the loan charges from the repayments received by the Council in respect of advances made to Farmers under the Act. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Rangitikei County Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
