DAMAGED AND SANK
DESTROYER DELIGHT RESULT OF ENEMY AIR ATTACK. Received Aug. 1, 6.5 p.m. LONDON, July 31. The Admiralty announces that the destroyer Delight was damaged as a result of an enemy air attack and subsequently sank. The loss of life was small. H.M.S. Delight was completed in 1932-33, had a complement of 145. and a standard displacement of 1375 tons.
