DUCHESS THEATRE
“The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse,” starring Edward G. Robinson, and adapted from the Barre Lyndon stage play which scored a great hit both in London and in New York, will be screening to-night at the Duchess Theatre. The bizarre, exciting and highly amusing story centres absorbingly round Dr. Clitterhouse, Robinson’s greatest screen role. He is a highly respected neurological surgeon who leads a dual life and who is eventually placed on trial for his life. This trial constitutes one of the high spots of the picture and it has a surprising and hilarious denouncement when the jury acquits the confessed murderer, - who has convinced the jurors he is insane by arguing learnedly that he was thoroughly sane when he committed the murder. Others in the cast include Claire Trevor and Allen Jenkins.
