Underwood, HaiI taitai, Wellington. BULLS Mr. M. Coogan, of Taihape, was a visitor to Bulls this week. Mr. Coogan lived at Parewanui for many years. Mr. M. Cooper, of the staff of the Bank of New South Wales, Bulls, has been passed and goes into camp next week. His place here has been taken by Mr. Drummond. MARTON Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Richardson, of Marton, recently received from a visitor overseas a neatly-designed cigarette ash tray from their son, Mr. Ralph Richardson, who is a member of the staff of Metropolitan Vickers in Glasgow. The tray has figured blue and brass circles and in the centre is the coat of arms of the City of Glasgow’, with the words: ~-L et Glasgow Flourish” on a scroll. Miss Mitchell, headmistress of Nga Tawa Diocesan Girls’ School, Marton, has left Auckland in the Mariposa for several months’ holiday in Great Britain. Miss Audrey Hobson and Miss Joan Hogg, Halcombe, accompanied Miss Mitchell to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Gatrell and Miss P. Gatrell returned to Marton on Thursday after spending a holiday in the Empire City. Sergeant A. D. Gatrell left with the Second Echelon of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces.
