Lee from the Grey Lynn ■ seat was demanded by a resolution ot 1120 members of the Grey Lynn branch { of the New Zealand Labour Party at ; a meeting on Wednesday night, was ■issued by Mr. Moohan, national secre- ; tary of the party. Recently at the monthly meeting of the branch a majority of the attendance decided to secede from the party I and support Mr. Lee. As a result new ■ officers have been appointed for the ; branch. . Mr. Moohan said he had addressed i Wednesday night’s meeting. He had 'traced the history of the trouble i which had developed in the party since 1938, and had produced photostatic copies of a confidential report written by Mr. Savage and presented to the Easter Conference of the party by Mr. Fraser. “The audience was ; allowed to examine the copies in order to dispel any doubts of their authenticity,” said Mr. Moohan. The following resolution was carried unanimously: “That this meeting I consisting of 120 members of the Grey Lynn branch, pledges its unswerving loyalty to the Prime Minister and Government, and demands that Mr. Lee resign his seat, as he no longer has the confidence of the Labour Party which was responsible for his election to Parliament.”
