The setting up of schools for viola tors of the traffic code is proposed in ; report to be presented by the Tran: port Department to the Road Saret Council. Persons convicted of offence against the regulations would be re quired to attend a course of instruc tion, the nature and length of whic. would depend upon the type of offenct Lectures would be given on 'accidents, their causes and results, oi the obligations of road users, on tral lie regulations and on sate drivim practices. Use would be made of roa safety films and to illustrate reaction time and vision disabilities specie apparatus would be utilised. Thi would be of value both lor diagnosis defects and in educating drivers in th psychological factors involved in sal driving.
