FIRST LARGE-SCALE EXERCISES
NEW ZEALAND TROOPS IN EGYPT CO-ORDINATION OF UNITS IN ROUGH COUNTRY [By Telegraph -Press Association-Copyright] CAIRO, April 22. Men of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force have begun their first large-scale exercises since their arrival. These aim to test and coordinate the powers of infantry, cavalry, and artillery over extremely rough country. The manoeuvres will conclude on Wednesday, and troops will attend a religious service on Anzac Day.
