WESTMERE SCHOOL
ANNUAL PICNIC HELD SPORTS AT ARAMOHO PARK An enjoyable picnic was held by the Westmere School, at Aramoho Park. The School Committee had made ample arrangements for catering and prizes, and for the conveyance of i children. Competitions and athletic! events for adults and children were held. A fine day and the agreeable | surroundings at the park made the day most happy, and successful. Results were as follows: Chain Stepping (ladies). Mrs. Leach; (men), Mr. C. Dawes. Wallace 3. Tiny Tot’s Race.—All winners! | A bag of sweets for every child at the picnic was kindly donated by Mrs. J. J. O’Reilly. Mr. V. S. M. Wilson donated the sheep for the weightguessing, and Mr. C. Dawes a case of apples. These and other donations by various parents and friends of the school made the day a happy and successful one, which children and adults ; alike thoroughly enjoyed.
