THREE SOLDIER ITES OF WENDY HUT WRITE FROM CAMP. Dear Wendy.—Well, aren’t we just too bad? There are Three of us here and we have kept putting the writing of this letter off each day, despite our promise to “White Forget-me-not” to write to you straight away. Camp life is great, but it is with suppressed excitement that we are looking forward to our trip overseas. We promise to drop a note from some where over the way, so in the meantime cheerio and good luck! Your soldier Ites—“HUT’S OFF-SIDER,” “HUT’S HOBO,’’ AND “HUT’S HAPPY-GO-LUCKY,” Military Camp, Ngaruawahia. I am delighted to have a visit from you three Ites and to know you fare well. It is simply wonderful to have you remember the old clan. We all pray that a kindly Providence will watch over and protect you. It will indeed be a great day for us when we receive a message from your overseas destination. Your letter will give our “White Forget-me-not” an immense joy for it shows you have kept your promise to her.
