The principal event, ihe Edmund Goodbehere Memorial, was won by Footloose after a great tussle witn Amigo, to whom most of the honours went in spite of his defeat, for he was conceding the winner 13ib. Rehearsal was compensated for several recent defeats when he scored a meritorious win over Charles Edward in the Oroua Hack Cup, the success of Mr. G. M. Currie’s colours being greeted with warm applause. Following the race the trophy attached to the event was presenteu io Mr. G. M. Currie by the president, Mr. L. T. McLean, the trainer, VV.
