ALLEGATIONS OF ASSAULT
ATTACK MADE OX SOLDIER 1 Pi>r Piet» Asaoe.alTon ] MASTERTON, Mar.h 20. Kenneth Stanley Clement, of Mauriceville, was charged in day with having assaulted a soldier, Sergeant Mervyn James Francis Stinear, of Fort Dorset, at a dance at Mauriceville. The assault was alleged to be unprovoked and serious. After evidence had been beard accused reserved his defence and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
