Menzies, warned Australians that they would have to pull their weight in this war. They must be prepared to tighten their belts and suffer individual loss, inconvenience, and even ruin in some cases. The nation must be prepared for re- ! duced standards of living. Primary I producers must cease cavilling about I the prices of wool, wheat and other produce. The Prime Minister announced today that the Commonwealth Government would not intervene in the coal strike and would stand by its decision to uphold the authority of the Federal Arbitration Court.
