FANTASTIC GERMAN CLAIM
► BRITISH FLEET DESTROYED . Received. March 19, 6.5 p.m. LONDON, March 18. The latest outbursts of the German Press and radio include the startling statements that the entire British Fleet was destroyed in the raid byNazi planes on Scapa Flow. This is believed in Britain to be an attempt to gull the German people into believing that the Nazi air force has justllied its existence. However, the Nazis have a long way to go before they will equal the record of the Royal Air Force in the present war. Earlier, the commander of the squadron responsibl for the bombing at Scapa Flow claimed direct hits with the largest bombs On the Hood, Repulse, Renown and an unnamed cruiser. He said that all the Heinkels returned, some being slightly dam- • aged.
