STAFF PRESENTATION
tributes to a popular managing.director and his wife were paid rcIcently by the staff of Hope Gibbons. Ltd., at a happy staff gathering in Wellington, at which Mr, A. B. Gibbons and Mrs. Gibbons, Khandallah, were the guests of honour. They were presented with a chiming grandfather clock from the staff, comprising members of the firm from Auckland to Invercargill. The general manager, Mr. A. R. Thomson, also other speakers, spoke of the many courtesies and considerations received from Mr. Gibbons at all times. In thanking the staff for the gift, Mr.
Gibbons said his interest in the staff, really was one of friendship toward i every member, he said, and this was • amply reciprocated by the loyalty ofl the staff to himself and the company and the co-operation of everybody | during times that were both difficult < and anxious. Mrs. Gibbons also replied in a man- ; i ner which revealed her personal con- ; cern for staff welfare.
