BRITISH SEIZURE OF GERMAN EXPORTS
THE UNITED STATES NOTE VALIDITY OF BLOCKADE MAY BE CHALLENGED Received Dee. 7. 8.40 p.m. NEW YORK. Dec 6. The New York Times’ Washington correspondent says that it is authoritatively reported that the United States Note to Britain setting out the position regarding seizure of German exports will broadly reserve American rights, and may challenge the validity of British action, but will not join issue to an extent to impair BritishAmerican political relations. It includes a reservation to provide the basis for claims on behalf of United States nationals damaged as the result of seizure.
