SUCCESSFUL FIELD DAY An enjoyable day was spent by the Wanganui Sports Motor-cycle Club on Sunday when a gymkhana and scramble was held on Mr. Toogood's property in Union Line. While the billy boiled for lunch, competitors were lined up for the first event, a four-lap handicap race. This event was won by A. Alexander with D. Lawrence second. After the luncheon break, the following events were run off: Egg and spoon race, A. McConville; serpentine, D. Lawrence; slow race, T. Bristol; two-lap relay race, J. Woods, G. Hartley, A. Alexander. After these field events were run off, the competitors adjourned to the end of the Union Line, where a scramble was held through the sand and lupins. D.
