SUCCESSFUL FIELD DAY An enjoyable day was spent by the Wanganui Sports Motor-cycle Club on Sunday when a gymkhana and scramble was held on Mr. Toogood's property in Union Line. While the billy boiled for lunch, competitors were lined up for the first event, a four-lap handicap race. This event was won by A. Alexander with D. Lawrence second. After the luncheon break, the following events were run off: Egg and spoon race, A. McConville; serpentine, D. Lawrence; slow race, T. Bristol; two-lap relay race, J. Woods, G. Hartley, A. Alexander. After these field events were run off, the competitors adjourned to the end of the Union Line, where a scramble was held through the sand and lupins. D. Lawrence was the winner after several good runs had been made Nominations for the Christmas trial to be held on Sunday, December 17, close to-night
