MR. SCRIMGEOUR’S VIEWS WATERSIDE WORKERS’ SUPPORT ( Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Dec. 6. Support for the Sunday broadcasts ■ol the Director ot Commercial Broadcasting, Mr. Scr.mgeour, was unanimously given by the Dunedin waterside workers at the monthly stopwork meeting of the local branch of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union to-day, when a resolution ol appreciation of "Uncle Scrim’s” addresses and of censure on the activities of the Press and the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, was carried. The resolution was as follows: “That this meeting of waterside workers supports the ’Man in the Street’ session conducted by ‘Uncle Scrim’; that they believe that the instructive addresses are in the interests. of the workers of New Zealand; that they support wholeheartedly 'Uncle Scrim’ in his efforts I for the workers; and that the meeting deplores the attempt of the daily Press and Farmers’ Union to cause political and economic discord when all our efforts should he towards unification of the nation.' The resolution was carried.
