FAT STOCK EASIER I Per Press Association. J CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 6. Values for fat stock eased at Addington to-day. Store Sheep.—The yarding included sheep from the Chathams. On the whole, average wethers were easier by Is to Is 6d a head. A line of wethers from the Chathams made 24s 9d and local wethers showing condition 16s. A truck lot of ewe hoggets sold at 29s 6d. Spring lambs sold keenly, medium and light prime sorts making 9d or more per lb. Fat Sheep.—An entry of about 4750. The sale opened firmly for all classes but in the final stages there was a slight easing. Extra prime heavy wethers to 35s 7d, prime heavy 29s 6d to 31s 6d. prime medium 26s to 295, light to 21s; extra prime heavy ewes to 32s 4d, prime heavy 24s to 26s 6d, prime medium 21s to 23s 6d, light 12s to 16s. Fat Cattle.—An entry of 350 compared with 414 a week ago. Prime steers showed a slight easing in the final stages and average cattle were unchanged. Extra prime heavy steers to £2l 2s 6d, prime heavy £l7 to £l9, prime medium £l5 10s to £l7 10s, light to £10; extra prime heifers to £l5 17s 6d. prime £ll 5s to £l3 10s, medium £9 to £ll, light to £8 15s; extra prime cows to £l4 17s 6d, prime £lO to £ll 10s, medium £8 5s to £9 10s. light to £B. The entry of porkers again was i fairly heavy and all classes eased 5s to 6s a head. Baconers were forward in medium numbers and the sale was slightly firmer than a week ago. Choppers also were in medium supply and values showed an easing. Choppers £2 3s 6d to £4 8s 6d, porkers £1 i 14s 6d to £2 14s 6d. Average price ; per lb.. 6=d to 7d. Baconers £2 17s 6d to £4 14s 6d.
