THE WANGANUI SALE EAT SHEEP IMPROVE E recman R. Jackson and Company report that entries comprised almost entirely fat stock, which were small m all sections, at yesterday's Wanganui stock sale. Fat sheep improved slightly on last week. Of the fat 1 cattle, no run bred cattle being ; yarded, ex-dairy sorts were a shade i better than last week Only oddments 'of stores were yarded. Fat pigs were I firm on last week and a small entry of stores showed a slight hse. ; Prices were:— Sheep.—Early shorn prime ewes to • ITS 8d; fat ewes, 11s 4d, 13s; fat twotooth wethers, 17s Id, 21s 6d; woolly, •22s 6d. 28s; fat lambs, 17s, 245. Cattle.—Fat ex-dairy cows, £5 10s, •£7 12s 6d; light, £4. £5 7s 6d; store I cows. £2 7s 6d, £3 14s 6d; yearling . Jersey heifers, £4 4s; dairy cows in I milk £4, £6 10s; vealers, £2; calves to 13s 6d. uijners. £2 15s. £3 2s; | porkers, £2 2s. £2 12s 6d; light porki cis. 355. 40s; small stores, 21s, 245; ! good slips, 20s, 245; good weaners, 14s ’fid. 16s.
