NEWS FROM BULLS
DRY HEATHER (Own Correspondent). BULLS, Dec. 6. Mr. K. W. Dalrymple, of “Waitatapia,” supplies the following report loi the month of November;—Rainfall for the month, 1.59 inches, falling on 13 days; .44 inches on November 11, and .35 inches on November 30, being the only useful rains during the month. Total fall to November 30, 29.25 inches; the average fdfc November for the past six years is 34.55 inches. During the last 44 years, over 5 inches of rain in December has been recoraeu only six times, so it appears likely that this year's rainfall will be well below the average for the past six years.” Although the rainfall in Lower Rangitikei has been lower than usual, more rain has fallen in the higher country, and in most places shearing operations have been intermittent, and many flocks will not be shorn until after the holidays. Light rains, with warmer temperatures have benefited pasture land and gardens, and in the township household tanks have been replenished.
