Boydfield Street Sealing Petitioners in Boydfield Street, Wanganui East, are to be advised that the council’s tar-sealing programme for this season has been fully scheduled and that the request for sealing will be considered when the next season’s programme is under review. This street has recently been provided with a concrete slab footpath. Footpath in Koromiko Road An application for a slab footpath in Koromiko Road, Cambridge Street to Owen Street, has been refused, the council acting on the advice of its Works Committee that it could not recommend this work because there is a very limited amount of pedestrian traffic along this portion of the street. The club is to have the right to remove buildings and or fixtures on termination of the lease.. The council is' of opinion that the existing stop and shelter best serve the interests of the public. Delhi Avenue Water Supply An applicant for a water supply in Delhi Avenue, outside the city bouryary, is to be advised that the council cannot depart from the policy of not granting further supplies outside the city. Claim for Flood Damage Permission has been granted Mr. H. R. Ogg to state to the Works Committee his case in support of a claim for compensation for flood damage done to his property. It was decided to reply that the programme is already planned. The council regrets it cannot alter it but that the request will be considered as soon as possible. Mr. A. J. Sutcliffe, in a letter to the council, said that it is four years since the first request was made to tar seal Harrison Street (Ingestre Street to Plymouth Street). He asked that something be done.

The council decided to reply the sealing is being done from the Somm Parade end and it is hoped later t continue the work. ’

A petition was received from rest dents of Taylor and Allison Street; and Hipango Terrace, asking that a deputation be received by the Works Committee regarding those streets. The deputation is to be heard.

Mr. E. J. Reed wrote regarding the extension of Eastown Road. It was decided to reply pointing out that it is footpath work which is being done at present, not road sealing.
