BREAKING, ENTERING AND THEFT ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY. [ Ter Press Association.] HAMILTON, Oct. 31. Having pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to charges of breaking, entering and theft at Pirongia and escaping from custody at Te Awamutu, a Maori, Wiremu Poroten, alias William Broughton, aged 27 years, a labourer, of Te Awamutu, was sentenced in the Supreme Court to-day to nine months' imprisonment on the breaking and entering charge and one month on the other, the sentences to be concurrent.
