BOMBAY RESOLUTION
DISAPPROVAL OF VICEROY’S STATEMENT. Received Oct. 28. 5.5 p.m. BOMBAY, Oct. 27. The Legislative Assembly passed a resolution by 92 votes to 56 votes disapproving the Viceroy’s statement. The Congress Ministry at Madras has resigned. The Governor intimated that he will not accept the resignation until arrangements have been made to carry on the Government. INDIANISATION GF OFFICER RANKS I British Official Wireless I RUGBY, Oct. 28. The Government of India has amplified the terms of reference of the committee considering the Indianisation of officer ranks of the Indian Army to include investigation into methods of recruitment and conditions of service of Indian officers of the Royal Indian Navy and Indian Air F orce.
