SEVEN PLANES LOST
COSTLY GERMAN RAID KOVAL AIR FORCE CLAIMS Received Oct. 27, 6.30 p.m. LONDON. Oct. 26. It is now revealed, in a statement, made by the Air Ministry, that at least seven of the 12 German planes which attacked a convoy in the North Sea on Saturday failed to return. At the time of the attack, R.A.F. pilots claimed four victories over planes 1 which were seen to go down, and ex- . pressed the opinion that three more would be unable to reach home. This belief has been confirmed by the news of the picking up in the North Sea ot . the survivors of three other machines. one by a trawler, one by a British ' destroyer far out in the North Sea, and another by a Danish steamer. > I There were no R.A.F. losses in the I attack.
