'O ' n Correspondent.* TAIHAPE. Oct. 22. Tto annual sports of the Taihape | District High School were held on the Oval Domain on Wednesday in con- ’ junction with th-? Taihape District i Primary Schools’ Sports Association'* first sports meeting. The Taihape Primary Schoo! competed v. ith the , country primary schools in the district schools’ events. The championship events and house competitions of I the Taihape District High School j were held as usual and some splendid school records being broken. An outstanding achievement was that of C. Harrison, the senior boy champion, who cleared 5ft. 6in. in the high jump and also covered 19ft. 8in. in Uklong jump. B. Dunn equalled the school record of 11 3-5scc. in the boys’ senior 100 i \ a rds and established a new record of 5min. 0 l-5sec. for the boys’ senior | mile, which is good time for a schoolboy. A feature nf the sports was the ! High School girls’ drill competition, which attracted much attention from a large crowd of interested spectators.
