O’Halloran has returned io Wanganui from Auckland. Miss J. Bailey-Smith is a Christchurch visitor to Wanganui. Mrs. L. Schuter, Kapuni, has oeen visiting Wanganui. 1 Mrs. Stuart Cameron, ol Lower Hutt, is spending the week-end jn i Wanganui. ; Mrs. Wilfred Simson, Nukumaru, ! spending a week in Wellington. Mrs. R. Doig. ol. Wellington, is visiting her mother, Mrs. 'I'. Howie, No. 2 Line. Mrs. G. W. Hean. of Lower Hull, is ! on a short visit to Wanganui. Misses L. Boyd. .1. L. O’Brien and. K. Warren w ere Wanganui visitors to Wellington for the races. .Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Carpenter left Wanganui this week to spend some weeks in Dunedin and will later travel north. Among recent callers at New Zealand House, London, were Mrs. M. E. Platt, of Taihape; Miss E. M. Horrill, of Ohakune; Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Adams, Mr. A. Peters, Mr. H. R. Hanks and Mr. N. A. Svenson, of Wanganui. Miss Frances Russell, of Wellington, and formerly of Wanganui, returned to New Zealand this week after a trip to Malaya. She arrived in Wanganui yesterday to spend a few' days with her aunts, the Misses Stanford, Wicksteed Street. Mrs. S. Newsome and a party of members of the Wanganui centre ol 1 the Health and Beauty movement are leaving for Auckland on Tuesday next to take part in the centennial demonstration of the movement being held in the Town Hall in that city.
