OBITUARY
J MR. W. C. TUC KER. i The death occurred at the residence t of his daughter, Mrs. L. E. Birch, Devon Street, New Plymouth, of Mr. W. C. (Mick) Tucker, aged 75 years. Mr. Tucker, who was born in Nelson. entered the P. and T. service at Cable Bay, and as a telegraph operator was later transferred to Blenheim and Wellington and later to Wanganui, where he served for 30 years, retiring 20 years ago when filling the position of check clerk. .Mr. Tucker established a reputation as one of the best operators in the Dominion in his day. After retiring from the service he lived for some years in Wanganui, but after the ( death of his wife he went to New ; Plymouth to live with his daughter. < One of the earliest members of the i Cosmopolitan Club, which he joined I in the early nineties, Mr. Tucker was t also a life member.
