ENTRIES CLOSE NEXT WEEK : GOOD RESPONSE REPORTED Entries in all sections of the Wan ’ ganui Show, which is to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, November ’ 8 and 9, close at the secretary’s office ' on Wednesday next, November .1. “It will be a great convenience if ' intending exhibitors will forward completed entry forms as soon as possible ’ to save a last-minute rush," said th" secretary, Mr. A. K. Donaldson, yes- ' terday. "Entries so far have exceeded those received up to the same date 1 last year and everything points to a ■ most successful show. A few spaces are left in the area set aside for displays of industrial firms and tl;e secretary will be glad if any firm desiring to book space for the purpose will get into touch with him immediately. "Bookings of space in the home industries building have been particularly heavy this year, only live spaces each 10It. by 10ft., being unlet at this date. Early application for the;-? spaces is desired. “The businessmen of Wanganui can help quite considerably by putting or attractive displays at the show of j goods they have to sell for not only will this add to the pleasure o! thfe ten to twelve thousand visitors wne usually patronise the show, but x ill ’ also bring home to these people the , fact that Wanganui is a bve shopp ug centre. The farm equipment, firms 5 and motor traders of the city will, .. no doubt, book adequate space for / displays of their products. If 'he ’ t Agricultural and Pastoral Association is to carry on its useful work it x must be supported in a practical way by those farmers and businessmen for , whom its is designed to assist and if ’ the Executive Committee, who have - worked so hard, find that the support / they are receiving is satisfactory, ■° they will be encouraged to continue their good work."
