Mr. E. F. Hemingway, Mayor of Patea, was a visitor to Wanganui yesterday. ! Major J. W. Barry, officer jn charge of the Wanganui Military Area, left for Trentham yesterday. i Mr. P. D. England, a vice-president ' of the Automobile Association (Wanganui) was a visitor to Wellington yesterday. Mr. D. G. O’Toole, president of the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce, was a visitor to Wellington yesterday. Sir Norman Nock, Lord Mayor of Sydney, left on Tuesday on a visit to New Zealand. Archdeacon W. K. Bullock, VicarGeneral of the Wellington Diocese, is visiting Wanganui. He is staying at lhe Vicarage, Gonville, with the Rev. V. C. Venimore Sub-Inspector J. A. Dempsey, who has been relieving Superintendent J. Lander as officer in charge of the Wanganui police district, has returned to Wellington. Mr. A. C. Holland. M.Sc., A.1.C., a graduate of Canterbury University College and < hemists to Woolston Tanneries, Limited, has been elected to the Procter International Research Fellowship aL Leeds University.
