Forecast. —Winds: Moderate to strong southerly or south-west-erly becoming general. Seas (New Zealand waters': Moderate south of Farewell Spit and north of East Cape. Rather tough to rough elsewhere. Eastern Tasman Sea: Fresh to strong south-west winds. RougL seas but wind and sea gradually decreasing. Weather: Rain probably in the North Island and in eastern and southern districts of the South Island but conditions improving gradually from the south and west. Temperatures cool to cold with some snow on the ranges and frosts likely to-night inland in Canterbury and Otago.
