WANGANUI ASSOCIATION THE FINAL TOURNAMENT The final wind-up tournament of the Wanganui Indoor Bowls Association was held on Wednesday night. Three games were played, only two teams winning the three games. On a count-back of the scores of each game the winning team was Rogerson, Turkington, Smith, and Benbrook, with scores of 14, 11, and 18—total 43. The runners-up were R. Shaw, G. Threadgold and Norman, with score.; of 14, 18, and 14—total, 36. Trophies were presented to the winners and to the runners-up by the president, Mr. G. Bennett. The M.U. Cud and the Wenham Cup was presented to R. Green, the winning skip of both competitions, by ths president, and engraved miniature, were given him and his team. Mr. H Mancer and J. Benbrook, the champion pair of the association, were also presented with their trophies. After the winning skips had replied, the president complimented all players on the standard of play throughout the season. He thanked all players on their co-operation and hoped to see them all in play next season. After making reference to the work put in by the secretary, Mr. H. Zinsli, during the season, Mr. Bennett presented him with an Indian-worked ash tray.
