Champion golfer Jim Ferrier is referred to as "The Wolf’’ by those who chase the white pill, but more particularly by those he has devoured in match play, says a Melbourne writer. Telling of his great win over Ferrier in the State close championship, played on the Concord course last (Sunday week, ven Nida said he felt Hike little Red Riding Hood, as "The 'Wolf” was for so long just behind I him. "1 expected to be devoured at any moment, for you never can tell | what "The Wolf” is capable of doing in a game,” said, von Nida. The little 'Queenslander played superbly throughout the championship.
