MR. AND MRS. FLYGER I'AREUELLED. The monthly committee meeting ot ' the St. James Church Rangataua, was I held on Thursday evening, October 12. I in St. James' Hall after which a farewell was given to Mr. and Mrs. Flyger, who are leaving the district. The vicar, Mr. Underhill, spoke of the good work that had been done by Mr. and Mrs. Flyger, who had worked hard in the Sunday School and in getting up monthly concerts for Sunday School and church work, asked them to accept a small gift from their many friends and the Sunday School children. Mr. Flyger replied saying how sorry ‘ both he and Mrs. Flyger were to leave the Sunday school work which had grown so dear to them both. Mrs. Bubb, one of the oldest residents, also spoke of the good work done by Mr. and Mrs. Flyger and loss ■ to the district at their going. : A pleasant social evening closed : with the singing of “For they are jolly Good Fellows" and "Auld Lang Sy ne."
