Apologies were received from Miss Palmer, Mesdames Whibley, Ross, Speedy, WimsetL Accounts amounting lo £9 18s were passed lor payment. Nurse Woods' j eporl for August was read and adopted. On the motion of Mrs. Ward, seconded by Mrs. Abbott, it was decided ' to hold' flag ”S(K) ' evenings instead l of country dances this year. The first i lo take place on Friday, October 20, 'in the Town Hall supper room. Hostesses are to be Mesdames Glenny, 'Kirkei-, Hebbcrd and Haydon. ■ A basket of flowers and fruit was ! sent, from tne committee to Mrs. i Meilsop with congratulations on the mirth of a daughter. j Mrs. Whibbicy and Mrs. Haydon wore appointed to make the annual . ; collection in the town. ; | A vote of thanks to the chair con- , : eluded the meeting.
