“JIMMY” CARLTON’S RECORD EQUALLED HUNDRED YARDS IN “TEN” SYDNEY ATHLETE'S FEAT Received Oct. 15. 7.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 15. Competing in the Great Public Schools’ athletic meeting on Saturday, Bruce Ryan, of St. Joseph’s College, equalled "Jimmy’’ Carlton's twelve-year-old record of lOsec. in the open 100 yards championship. Earlier Ryan won the 220 yards in Z2sec., which is a fifth of a second outside Carlton's record.
