MEMORIAL SERVICE
LATE MR. F. LAING OFFICER OF CHURCH OF CHRIST A memorial service to the late Mr. F. Laing whose death occurred suddenly last Saturday, was conducted in the Church of Christ, Wanganui, by the minister, Mr. G. Fretwell. Addressing the large congregation.
Mr. Fretwell made feeling referenc to the great loss the church had sui fered, as Mr. Laing had been doc and reception attendant for more tha 20 years. He paid a glowing tribut to Mr. Laing's unfailing faithfulnes and devotion to his self-appointe task. The funeral was held on Tuesday e the Aramoho Cemetery. The pal] bearers were Messrs. A. Laing, c Levin (a brother) I. Laing, of We' lington (a nephew’, Gordon and Fre (sons), and R. Ponce and H. Siddal representing the church officer: board.
