Sir John Simon, stated in the House of Commons that on July 12 Brazil had informed Britain that it would welcome a representative from the British Council of Bondholders in order that the position of Brazilian loans issued in the United Kingdom might be examined by the Minister ol Finance, It is understood that a similar invitation has been extended to French and American bondholders. Sir John Simon said the matter was receiving the consideration of lhe Council of l Foreign Bondholders. Brazil suspended payment on foi - eign Hans last year.
