FARMER INVESTS IN POWER BOARD LOAN The financial surprise of the past week in Auckland was provided by a North Auckland farmer, who walkec into the Auckland Electric Powei Board office, stated that he wished tc invest in the board’s loan of £290.000 and tendered a cheque for £20.000. So far, he is the largest investor in the loan, but there has been such a good response from small investors that since applications were invitee on July 6. the sum of £223,400 has been subscribed.
